{"id":138,"date":"2013-03-31T11:00:26","date_gmt":"2013-03-31T16:00:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/buddy.brannan.name\/blog\/?p=138"},"modified":"2013-03-31T11:21:00","modified_gmt":"2013-03-31T16:21:00","slug":"the-budcast-chromebook-accessibility","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buddy.brannan.name\/blog\/2013\/03\/the-budcast-chromebook-accessibility\/","title":{"rendered":"The Budcast: Chromebook Accessibility"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I haven&#8217;t done one of these in a while, so I figured it was about time.<\/p>\n<p>In this episode of the Budcast, which is un-numbered because I can&#8217;t count that high, we look at the initial setup of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chromebook.com\" target=\"_blank\">Chromebook<\/a> and the state of its accessibility. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\" target=\"_blank\">Google<\/a> has asked several people in the blind\/VI community to assist with accessibility testing, and I was lucky enough to be one of those.<\/p>\n<p>While there are a couple rough edges, and a show stopper or two (which we don&#8217;t get to in this episode), Google has a great start on making the Chromebook accessible. We do see a couple of those &#8220;rough edges&#8221; in this podcast, and I&#8217;m sure we&#8217;ll find more.
